2 rescued, 1 trapped after building partially collapses in Shanghai

Two people were rescued while one remained trapped in rubble after a section of a building under renovations partially collapsed early on Friday morning in Shanghai's Baoshan district, according to the district's fire and rescue brigade.
The incident occurred at around 4:49 am at a construction site located at No 50 Youyi Road. Approximately 50 square meters of the structure gave way.
Rescue teams and relevant agencies were immediately dispatched to the scene. Two of the three trapped individuals were extracted and transferred to a local hospital for medical treatment.
As of 10:27 am, search and rescue operations remained ongoing at the site to locate and recover the remaining trapped person.
Investigations into the incident are underway.
