Appetizing chapter for iconic venue
Michelin-starred TRB Hutong, nestled in a beautifully restored 600-year-old courtyard in Beijing, is set to unveil a fresh dining experience this January with the appointment of new chef Lucas Garigliano.
Garigliano brings a bold, innovative menu designed to elevate the restaurant's acclaimed culinary offerings, marking a new chapter for the iconic venue.
Hailing from Barcelona, Garigliano's culinary journey was shaped by the rich flavors and aromas of his Mediterranean heritage. This background continues to influence his cooking, inspiring dishes that balance authenticity with vibrant, harmonious flavors.
With seven years at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Paris, Garigliano honed his skills in the heart of French culinary tradition. His career later took him to Dubai, where he led the opening of a new restaurant, earning recognition from Gault & Millau and the Michelin Guide. In 2023, he returned to Saint-Germain as executive chef.
At TRB Hutong, Garigliano's cuisine will blend traditional French techniques with modern creativity, using local ingredients and artistic presentations to reflect his diverse culinary journey.
"Cooking, for me, is about finding a harmonious balance between creativity and authenticity," Garigliano says. "Each dish I create tells a story, blending the traditions I hold dear with the vibrant influences I've encountered along the way."
