Recently, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company has innovatively adopted a new "1+N" intelligent patrol and defect elimination mode. This has precisely and efficiently eliminated the hidden dangers of floating objects discovered during intelligent patrols within 10 minutes, providing valuable experience for the in-depth application of the remote video intelligent inspection system for substations (hereinafter referred to as "intelligent patrol") and ensuring the safe and stable operation of substation equipment in an intelligent manner.

The substations managed by the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company are widely dispersed, with a huge number of equipment and numerous important transmission lines. As a result, the intensity of equipment operation and maintenance is gradually increasing. In addition, 62 percent of the substations are located at the wind gap of the Helan Mountain. With this situation, the supervision of floating objects blown up by strong winds and the efficiency of eliminating the hidden dangers caused by floating objects also need to be improved accordingly. To cope with the contradiction between the rapid growth of substation equipment scale and the continuous shortage of operation and maintenance personnel, and to solve the problems of low efficiency in manual inspection during operation and maintenance, as well as low defect elimination efficiency.

The State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company firmly grasped the window period for the high-quality application of intelligent patrols, strengthened the visualization construction of substations, enhanced the management of intelligent patrols and innovatively put forward a new "1+N" intelligent patrol and defect elimination mode. The "1+N" mode means designating one monitoring team as the administrator for the application of intelligent patrols, the release of hidden defects caused by floating objects, the command of defect elimination and precise tracking. Meanwhile, 61 substation security guards, under the jurisdiction of the company, are responsible for eliminating the hidden dangers of floating objects. When remote inspection personnel discover hidden dangers of floating objects in areas such as the heightened protective nets of substations, the protective nets outside the walls and the low-altitude areas inside the stations through intelligent patrols, the remote inspection personnel will directly notify the substation security guards by phone and precisely command them to efficiently eliminate the defects through remote video monitoring. Thanks to this, the efficiency of eliminating the hidden dangers of floating objects has increased by approximately 70 percent, and the safe and stable operation of substation equipment has been managed in an intelligent manner.

Currently, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company has taken the lead in achieving full coverage of replacing manual inspections with intelligent patrols in all 61 substations under its jurisdiction, has been the first to develop and apply a large number of digital-intelligence integrated scenarios in batches and has been the first to explore advanced functions of intelligent patrols. In 2024, centering on the transformation, upgrading and innovation of the operation and maintenance inspection mode, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company continuously explored the intelligent patrol management mode and achieved the optimization of the utilization of intelligent patrols and the maximization of benefit improvement. Among them, the "AR Real Scene Defect Map" enables the supervision of intelligent patrol defects in real scenes; the "Defect Automatic Retrieval RPA" realizes the automatic retrieval of intelligent patrols with the linkage of real-time images of substation equipment defects; the "Meteorological Linkage RPA" enables the automatic execution of special patrol tasks by linking with intelligent patrols after the meteorological early warning of substations; the "Watch Position Automatic Retrieval RPA" realizes the automatic retrieval of intelligent patrols with the linkage of images of hidden dangers in the external environment of substations; the "Infrared Image General Automatic Retrieval RPA" realizes the automatic retrieval of infrared real-time images by linking with intelligent patrols; the "Environmental Automatic Monitoring RPA" realizes the automatic monitoring and statistics of the temperature and humidity in the high-voltage rooms of substations. These innovative intelligent patrol management modes have not only promoted the efficient application of intelligent patrols, but also ensured the safety of substation equipment. Meanwhile, they have also helped to reduce the burden and increase the efficiency of grassroots teams.

Next, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company will continue to optimize the new "1+N" intelligent patrol and defect elimination mode and deepen the application of this intelligent patrol management mode that can be used for reference, replicated and promoted. Meanwhile, it will continuously strengthen the integrated innovation and application of digital-intelligence technologies in the power grid field, dig deeper into the potential value of replacing manual inspections with intelligent patrols, continuously enhance the practical application and management of intelligent patrols, help ensure the safe and reliable operation of substation equipment and provide intelligent support for urban economic development.
