A promotional conference for the sixth China International Import Expo was held in Milan, Italy, on April 21, to attract more Italian enterprises.

The conference was attended by nearly 100 representatives from Italian enterprises and institutions.

Fabio Maccari, chief executive officer of Salov, Italy's largest olive oil producer, said at the conference that the company has gained many business opportunities since participating in the inaugural CIIE.

He added that the company highly values the potential of the Chinese market and will participate in this year’s expo to deepen their understanding of it.

Saverio Silva, chief executive officer of R.S. srl, a subsidiary of Italian detergent and soap manufacturer Desa, said that they will continue to participate in the CIIE to deepen cooperation with partners and seize the growth opportunities in the Chinese market.

China and Italy have a long history of communication and interaction.

Nowadays, with the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and the operation of the China-Europe freight train, Sino-Italian economic and trade exchanges have been further strengthened.
