Jinan in East China's Shandong province released its plan to develop itself into a global center for human capital industry at the 2020 China·Jinan Human Capital Industry High-end Forum which was held on Aug 12.
According to the plan, the center will integrate talent, capital, technology, service and industry to achieve this goal.
The center covering 328 mu (21.87 hectares) is located in the Qilu Science & Innovation Corridor.
Officials said that the center is expected to cultivate human capital industry clusters over the next five years and achieve an economic growth of 300 billion yuan ($43.21 billion), thus providing new growth drivers for the city's high-quality development.
Jinan has rich resources that it can leverage to develop a human capital industry. The city has a total of 52 universities, including Shandong University, and its talent resources exceed 1.6 million.
In 2019, 2,231 high-tech enterprises and 28 State-level enterprise technology centers were launched in the city.
