Russian and Chinese students tour China Daily's Wuxi office
Over 641,000 people follow Wuxi's official Facebook and Twitter accounts for news about tourism, culture, and more. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi retweeted a post about Wuxi's annual yoga festival this June, and the post was then viewed 510,000 times over three days.
The company's new media team also films videos to record local developments, important events, traditional customs, and beautiful scenery. This includes interviews during the 2019 Snooker World Cup and the stories of three expats living in Wuxi during the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
As an important part of the third China-Russia Internet Media Forum and New Media Exchange Activities on the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Russia Diplomatic Relations, the China-Russia New Media Youth Collaboration event kicked off in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province on Nov 4.
